How to create, edit and disable users on the system
CREATE A NEW/EDIT USER
Firstly login to the admin panel. https://scripttrack.co.uk/ProjectWebApp/Default/Static/scr/blog_2.html for more information.
Then find and click the 'Users' section.
THE USERS PAGE
The users page shows all of the users currently on the system.
CREATE A NEW USER
You can create a new user by opening up the menu using the button in the top left corner and clicking the 'Toolbar tab' (the tab with the picture of a spanner). You will see an option here to 'Create User'.
Display Name The display name is the name used to login to the system. This name will also be shown throughout the system for actions made by this user such as creating and completing orders
Password The password is the password required for this user to login to the system. The password will need to be rated as at least OK by our password strength indicator or you will have to choose another password. (The best passwords are often longer than 15 characters)
First Name, Middle Name, Surname Optional information used to further explain the identity of a user
Email The email address of the user, this will only be used in conjunction with 'Email Alerts'
User Type The user type specifies the privileges of the user.
A 'Normal' user will have a basic login allowing them to use the system for orders, pending orders, history and patient information. A 'Moderator' user will have access to the Admin Panel to setup predefined text messages and normal users, they will also have access to the 'Web Statistics' and ability to post to the newsfeed as the system administrator. An 'Admin' user will have the same access as a moderator aswell as the ability to setup the 'IP Security'.
Setting a user to 'Disabled' will prevent them from logging into the system.
Interactive Specifies whether the user will be available as an administrator user for the web chat feature (Starting a chat with an interactive administrator will include this user in the chat).
Email Alerts Specifies when a newsfeed post or message is sent to the user they should receive an email to notify them that some activity has occured on their account.
EDITING A USER
Please not that you will only be able to edit users who have lower privileges than yourself.
You can click the 'glasses' icon in the top right to peek at the user's password, you will not be able to change the password. You will also be unable to change a users display name. The user may change their Display Name and Password by logging in and changing them via the user menu.
